SERP Intent Finder: Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
SERP Intent Finder is a browser extension made by 8-Bit Content. This policy explains what the extension does with data. In short, it doesn't collect any.
What the extension reads
When you click the extension icon on a Google search results page, it reads that page to list the ranking URLs, their titles, the dates Google shows, any AI Overview sources, sponsored results, local (map) results and video results. If you choose "Top 20", it also loads page 2 of the same search from Google. If you pick another country, it reloads the same search on Google for that country. To show real URLs, it reads the destination of Google's own redirect links.
All of this happens locally in your browser, only when you click the icon.
What the extension does not do
- It does not collect, store or transmit any personal information.
- It does not track your browsing or your searches.
- It does not send any data to 8-Bit Content or to any third party.
- It does not use analytics, advertising or remote code.
- It does not read pages other than Google search results.
Data stored on your device
The extension remembers a few display preferences in your browser's local storage: which tab you last viewed (Overview or Results), whether Details is switched on, which sections (such as "Ads" and "AI Overview") are open, which sections you've chosen to include in Settings, and whether "Folders & title patterns" is expanded. They never leave your device, and removing the extension deletes them.
Network requests
The only requests the extension makes are to Google search domains, on your behalf, to read the results page you're looking at, load page 2 when you ask for it, and resolve Google's redirect links. When you click a "site:" option, it opens that Google search in a new tab. Copying or downloading an export happens entirely in your browser: the table goes to your clipboard or your Downloads folder, nowhere else. It never requests the ranking websites themselves, and it never follows or requests ad links: sponsored results are read from the page only, so the extension can't register an ad click.
The extension's fonts and images are bundled with it, so it doesn't load anything from other servers.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices change, this page will be updated and the date above changed.
